A truth and lie game for curious minds

Truth or Lie takes the idea of Two Truths and a Lie and turns it into a fact puzzle. Instead of guessing a friend’s lie, you hunt for the fake fact hidden among two true ones. Some fakes are famous myths that many people believe (goldfish do not have a three-second memory). Others are real facts with one detail changed.

Every answer comes with a short explanation and links to sources, so you learn something even when you get fooled. It is quick enough for a coffee break, and a fun warm-up for a class or a quiz night on a big screen.

How we check the facts

Each puzzle is written and reviewed by our editorial team. True statements must be well established, and the fake must be clearly false, not “it depends”. Every answer links to at least one source, most often an encyclopedia article you can read in full. Spotted a mistake? Email hello@truthsandalie.fun and we will fix it.

Truth or Lie FAQ

How does the daily Truth or Lie puzzle work?

Every day there is one new puzzle with three facts. Two are true and one is fake. Pick the fake, lock in your guess, and see the answer with an explanation and sources. Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day.

Where do the facts come from?

Our editorial team writes each puzzle from well-established facts, and every answer links to sources you can check. Fakes are usually popular myths or changed details.

What is a streak?

Your streak counts how many daily puzzles in a row you have got right. It is saved in your own browser only, so it stays on this device.

Can I play more than one puzzle a day?

Yes. Switch to Practice to play as many rounds as you like, by topic. Practice rounds don’t affect your daily streak.

Can I play with a group?

Yes. Put it on a big screen (press F), let everyone vote for the fake, then lock in the group’s answer. It makes a great quiz-night warm-up.
