Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to play. truthsandalie.fun aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do

  • Keyboard play: every game works without a mouse. Space moves to the next step, 1–4 pick a card, F switches big-screen mode and M toggles sound.
  • Screen readers: games announce each step (whose turn it is, when votes are locked, which card was the lie) without moving your focus.
  • Color: truth and lie are always shown with words and symbols (TRUE ✓, LIE ✗), never color alone, and text colors are checked for contrast in light and dark themes.
  • Motion: if your device asks for reduced motion, animations, confetti and the lie-detector line are switched off.
  • Sound: sound effects are off by default and never carry information you can’t see on screen.
  • Testing: every page and game screen is checked with automated accessibility tests (axe) in both themes before each release.

Known limitations

The pass-the-phone Party Mode assumes players can take turns with one device. If that doesn’t work for your group, the “Tap guesses” or “Count hands” voting options let one person enter everyone’s votes.
